Front End Developer

We are looking for an awesome and talented Front End Web Developer to join our team. Working alongside our existing team of developers and creative teams you’ll be responsible for creating exceptional digital experiences for new and existing clients. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years development experience in a commercial environment, a passion for bleeding edge web techniques, ideas to push the team forward and the ability to work in a culture filled, creative and busy studio environment.

Key Accountabilities and responsibilities of role:

  • Development, testing and deployment of new websites, backend platforms and digital experiences
  • Maintenance and bug fixing of legacy websites
  • Development and maintenance of HTML email templates
  • General hosting/email support
  • Client CMS Training
  • Collaborate and work in the studio to deliver digital projects on time, on budget at the forefront of web innovation
  • Research new technologies / development methods to expand our offering to clients

About You:

  • Ability to work in an agile development environment
  • Self-motivated, organised, detail orientated and willing to be challenged
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Good problem solver and logical thinker

Required Skills:

  • A strong experience in HTML5 and CSS3/SASS, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Experience of at least one javascript framework (such as Vue, React, Angular, Node)
  • Development of extended functionality for CMS systems (i.e WordPress)
  • Knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Accurately translate web designs into elegant digital experiences
  • A good understanding of SEO best-practice
  • Strong understanding of UI and cross-browser compatibility

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cPanel or Plesk and source control (e.g. GIT)
  • Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, CakePHP)
  • Experience with MySQL
  • Experience with e-commerce development (Woocommerce, Shopify, Opencart and Magento)
  • Familiarity with Campaign Monitor or similar email marketing platforms
  • Ability to show thought leadership in your field
  • Client-facing experience
