Digital Learning Developer

As Digital Learning Developer, you’ll be responsible for developing creative and engaging eLearning solutions that heavily utilise a variety of multimedia, including video, animation and gamification, in line with clients’ expectations. We need our developers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems as we continue to push technology forward. We use next-generation technologies which change how our users connect, explore and interact with clients, information and one another.

Working collaboratively with our creative team, which includes content-writers, designers, filmmakers and 2D/3D animators, you’ll enjoy working as part of a close-knit, proactive and innovative team, working on multiple projects to deadlines and allocated budgets. As part of an entrepreneurial environment, you’ll apply sound logic and solve problems with speed, tenacity and efficiency and be willing to cross skill as necessary in this rapidly, fast moving world of technology.

 Key Accountabilities and responsibilities of role:

  • Work with the designers, animators and content writers to feed into our learning design, and develop engaging eLearning modules
  • Develop and deliver SCORM compliant eLearning courses to client LMS requirements, account for browser limitations within our client’s environments
  • Quality check and review own and other team members’ work to ensure courses are built to the highest standards
  • Attend daily stand-ups and client calls when required
  • Work with the team to deliver all projects on-time and on-budget
  • Support client facing and product delivery team in fulfilling internal and external client requirements
  • Adhere to organisational and legal regulations/processes including NDA’s
  • Work with Technical Leads to provide advice on technical requirements for tenders

Required Skills

  • Experience in a variety of software packages used to create eLearning content (e.g. Storyline, Articulate, Captivate, GOMO etc.) but you must be an expert in the latest and previous versions of Adobe Captivate
  • Be familiar with the core principles of learning design and development
  • Knowledge of recent technological trends and developments
  • HMTL5 capabilities and limitations
  • Familiarity with LMS, CMS, and E-Learning standards (AICC, SCORM, xAPI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of learning technologies and their contribution to delivering blended employee learning
  • solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and QC and testing skills

Whilst there’s no immediate requirement for technical skills in the Adobe suite, etc. as this is primarily a learning development role, any editing/animation skills may be beneficial, and you’ll get the chance to learn/develop in this area from industry experts.

Standard Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 1/2 hours between 8am and 6pm
